These 13 cruise ships are expected to dock in Victoria this week

It’s almost BC Day long weekend, Victoria!

Hopefully this much-needed rain isn’t dampening anyone’s spirits, as there’s still plenty of excitement in the city waiting to be explored!

39,091 passengers across 13 cruise ships will have the chance to wander the shops, check out the breweries, attend one or two live performances and much, much more. 

The first to dock this week is the Carnival Spirit, anticipated to arrive at 8 p.m. on Monday, July 29th, with 2,124 people on board. 

Then there’s a slight lull in traffic until Wednesday, July 31st with two cruise ships docking—the Queen Elizabeth at 1 p.m. with 2,081 passengers and the Carnival Luminosa at 8 p.m. with 2,260 passengers. 

The cruise ships to follow are as such:

  • Thursday, August 1st at 5 p.m.: Ovation of the Seas with 4,180 passengers
  • Thursday, August 1st at 5 p.m.: Celebrity Edge with 2,918 passengers
  • Thursday, August 1st at 7:30 p.m.: Norwegian Sun with 1,936 passengers
  • Friday, August 2nd at 7:30 p.m.: Norwegian Bliss with 4,250 passengers
  • Friday, August 2nd at 8 p.m.: Eurodam with 2,104 passengers
  • Friday, August 2nd at 9 p.m.: Discovery Princess with 3,660 passengers
  • Saturday, August 3rd at 7 p.m.: Majestic Princess with 3,560 passengers
  • Saturday, August 3rd at 7:30 p.m.: Norwegian Encore with 3,998 passengers
  • Saturday, August 3rd at 8 p.m.: Westerdam with 1,840 passengers
  • Sunday, August 4th at 5 p.m.: Quantum of the Seas with 4,180 passengers

Did you know the Quantum of the Seas is one of the largest cruise ships in the world by gross tonnage?

The ship is 1,141 feet from bow to stern, which makes it longer than the Eiffel Tower is high (1,083 feet).

It’s operated by Royal Caribbean and offers a number of highlighted attractions, including an observation gondola with a 360-degree ocean view.
