Police seek help locating missing Nanaimo man with significant health issues: RCMP

Nanaimo RCMP are seeking public assistance locating a missing 48-year-old man last seen leaving the hospital. 

Police say James Peakman has significant health issues and requires daily medication, but has disappeared after he left the hospital at around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23rd. 

Because of his medical issues, Nanaimo RCMP say there is extreme concern for his safety and overall well-being. 

Peakman is described as a Caucasian man, standing 5’4” tall, weighing around 110 pounds, with brown hair and a beard. The picture provided by Nanaimo RCMP is relatively recent. 

When he was last seen, Peakman was wearing grey sweatpants, a black t-shirt and a grey housecoat. 

According to police, he has no cell phone and no immediate access to money.
