Murder charges have been laid against a man for a fatal stabbing that occurred in March of this year.
At around 4 a.m. on March 31st, police say they responded to a report of a stabbing in the 700-block of Pandora Avenue.
When officers arrived at the scene, they say they found a deceased man who died of his wounds along with another man who was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
VicPD say they arrested one man, Robert Travers, shortly after for the crime.
Once the accused was taken into custody, Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crimes Unit took over the case from VicPD.
Charges were laid against Travers on Thursday, June 27th.
Police say Travers will remain in custody pending a future court date
“As this case is now before the courts, further details cannot be shared, and the family of the victim is requesting privacy at this time,” said VicPD in a media release.
