Nanaimo RCMP seek 26-year-old man wanted for numerous warrants

Nanaimo RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 26-year-old Antonio Charlie-Matias, who is wanted on numerous charges.

His charges include assault, three counts of uttering threats, three counts of failure to comply with a court order and breach of probation. 

Police say the charges stem from late April when Charlie-Matias allegedly assaulted and uttered threats toward family members. 

Further, the allegations of failure to comply with the court orders extend from April to September. 

Warrants have been issued for his arrest because investigators have been unable to locate Charlie-Matias.

Police describe Charlie-Matias as an Indigenous male, standing 5’4” tall, weighing around 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes
