Nanaimo to Vancouver trip, anyone?

Hullo Ferries is celebrating their third anniversary in business and 1.5 million passengers served this week.

The company had their first official sailing in August 2023 and has increased the number of daily sailings and passengers every year since.

“We are so grateful to have been a part of the coastal communities of Vancouver and Nanaimo (and beyond!) for three whole years now,” a post on their instagram page states.

“In that time, we’ve helped transport more than 1.5 million passengers on more than 10,000 sailings!”

The downtown Nanaimo to downtown Vancouver passenger ferry offers a much-needed service to those in Nanaimo or Vancouver who want to make the most of travel to and from the mainland without the need for a vehicle.

The company filled a hole in the market after the previous harbour ferry service, HarbourLynx, ended service in 2006.

Hullo Ferries says it has plans to introduce a Victoria to Vancouver ferry service, although anticipates that it may be years before this service comes to fruition.

To celebrate the third anniversary, the ferry company is offering 20% discounts on bookings with three or more tickets.

To take advantage of the deal, bookings must be made in Comfort, Comfort-Flex or Premium, using the discount code “BIRTHDAY3” at checkout.
