West Coast League baseball All-Star game to take place in Victoria this week

Take me out to the ball game!

The West Coast League (WCL) All-Star Game will be taking place this week, with several HarbourCats players being selected to represent Victoria’s team in the game.

The All-Star Game will take place on Wednesday, July 15th at the Wilson’s Group Stadium in Victoria’s Royal Athletic Park, featuring a North versus South division match-up.

The game will feature HarbourCats players David Krahn, Matt Westley, Jeremiah Arnett and Erik Rico.

Before the All-Star Game, the Royal Athletic Park will host a Home Run Derby, featuring former Toronto Blue Jays player Kevin Pillar.

That event will take place at Wilson’s Stadium on Tuesday, July 14th at 6:35 p.m.

Pillar will join the Hot Stove Panel at Studio 919 at 9 p.m. that evening, which will also feature Professional Scouts Hall of Fame inductee Marti Wolever and Victoria HarbourCats head coach  and former major leaguer Todd Haney.

The venue will also host the official all-star luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on the morning of the All-Star Game, with Wolever serving as keynote speaker.

There will be limited tickets available to the public for purchase.
