Planning to take the kids to the Royal BC Museum this summer?
Young museum-goers will be able to visit the museum for free or for a reduced price this summer thanks to the Canada Strong Pass.
The pass allows youth 17-years-old or younger to enter free and those aged between 17 and 24 receive 50% off the regular admission price.
The program is an initiative launched by the Canadian government in an effort to promote museums and historic sites across the country.
The Canada Strong Pass is not a physical pass and does not require any sign-up, with eligible visitors automatically receiving free or reduced pricing upon arrival at museums such as the Royal BC Museum and other participating sites.
The pass will be in effect all summer and will end on September 7th.
The pass also allows visitors to explore Canada’s National Parks for free.
While visiting the museum, consider extending your visit with a film at IMAX® Victoria, home to the largest IMAX screen in British Columbia. Visitors can enjoy a range of documentaries and feature films throughout the summer, including the locally filmed Sea Otters or Mysteries of Egypt.
For the full schedules and a list of films being screened on the biggest screen in BC at Victoria IMAX, check out their website here.
IMAX films are not offered at a reduced price with the pass.
