Cordova Bay Road closed through PKOLS after collision: Saanich Police

A section of Cordova Bay Road remains closed Saturday morning as Saanich Police investigate a collision in the area.

The crash occurred on the 4500 block of Cordova Bay Road, with the closure extending through PKOLS (Mount Douglas Park) from the lower parking lot area to Ocean Park Lane.

Police say bicycle and pedestrian traffic are also affected in the immediate area of the collision.

As of this publication, the extent of any injuries is unknown.

The road is expected to remain closed into the afternoon while officers continue their investigation.

Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes where possible.

Saanich Police say they will provide another update once the roadway has reopened.
