Bad Art Club at MakeSpace

Bad Art Club is a low-pressure community art space for experimentation, creative chaos and making things without worrying whether they’re ‘good.’

Inspired by the Art Hive movement, this is a space to follow curiosity instead of perfectionism. Attendees don’t need experience, technical skills or even a clear idea of what they want to make.

The point is to play, try things, make a mess, get unstuck and be around other people doing the same.

This is not a traditional art class. It’s more like an open studio, a creative hangout, a body-doubling session, a peer support space and a temporary world built around shared making.

No art experience is needed. Tickets are on a sliding scale between $20 and $30 and can be purchased at the door.

  • Where: MakeSpace North Park, 2150 Quadra Street
  • When: Tuesday, July 7th – 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
