Tim Hortons’ Smile Cookie campaign is once again coming to the island and kicks off in Victoria on April 27th.
In the charity campaign’s 13th consecutive year, the specialty cookies will be sold at specific locations to raise money for Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island.
Since 2014, over $589,000 has been raised for Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island.
At the 22 participating Tim Hortons locations within the Capital Regional District, funds raised will be going to support Jeneece Place, the Foundation’s Home Away From Home next to Victoria General Hospital.
Jeneece Place was established in 2012 to offer welcoming, low-cost accommodation for families from up-island who need to travel to Victoria for their child’s health care.
The organization has provided a place to stay for more than 3,000 families since opening in 2012.
Jeneece Place is just one facet of the work done by the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Tim Hortons franchisees and customers for their support over the years,” said Veronica Carroll, CEO of Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island.
“Thanks to their continued generosity, we can ensure more Island families can stay just steps from their child in the hospital, focused on their health instead of where they are going to sleep.”
Smile Cookies will be available from April 27th to May 3rd, with 100% of the proceeds going towards Jeneece Place in Victoria and other charities throughout Canada.
Those who are looking forward to Smile Cookies can find a map of the participating locations online here.
The cookies can be picked up at any participating location in-store, via the drive-thru and now, people can pre-order them online as well.
Smile Cookies are a great way to treat the office or classroom and make a difference at the same time.
