Country music fans, we’ve got news for you!

There’s a brand new country music festival dubbed “Country Roads” that’s coming to Langford’s Starlight Stadium on August 29th and you definitely won’t want to miss this hoedown.

With Canadian country legends Aaron Pritchett and Doc Walker, the festival is shaping up to be one of the best Canadian country festivals on Vancouver Island.

Other acts include plenty of Vancouver Island talent, including Born Reckless, The Tumblin’ Dice, Jaimeson Rhys and Eagles Eyes, an Eagles tribute act.

The Country Roads festival will feature two stages and a full day of country music, with gates opening at 3 p.m.

Performances will alternate stages through the afternoon and into the evening, building towards the headliners to finish the day.

This festival will be an all ages affair with a dedicated kids zone, but will also feature a beer garden. It will also include plenty of food trucks, VIP and private viewing areas and a lively plaza atmosphere.

“This is about creating something right here at home for West Shore country fans,” said festival organizer Dylan Stone with Cascadia Concerts.

“We want to build a festival that’s close, accessible, and truly theirs—where people can walk to a world-class venue, bring their families, and still be back home at the end of the night.”

Festival goers are encouraged to bring their own seats or blankets to sit on. There will also be seating available in the stadium’s stands.

General admission tickets start at $50, and are on sale as of Thursday, April 9th. You can purchase them on the Country Roads Festival website.

Get out there and enjoy some sunshine and good tunes!
