Newsies: The Musical at the McPherson Playhouse

Extra, Extra!

The beloved Tony-award winning musical “Newsies” will hit the stage at the McPherson Playhouse this Friday.

An award-winning score to sweep you up in the dramatic fight for what’s fair—based on the strike of 1899 by the child labourers of New York, led by those selling the papers for the rich and powerful.

Scrappy, snappy, and full of rousing calls to action—this musical sensation will have you wanting to “stare down the odds and seize the day”.

Friday Night Music at Mile Zero Brewing

Relax with some tasty beverages and good tunes.

Mile Zero Brewing is pleased to welcome Choralina Chante to the Mile Zero Brewing taproom for the first time.

This is a free, all ages show.

Bob Ross Paint Night at Oaklands Community Centre

There are no mistakes, just happy little accidents.

The Oaklands Community Centre will be hosting a youth art night for children 9-14. Participants will be following a tutorial from the legend Bob Ross.

Tickets are $25. Drop-ins are welcome, or you can reserve a spot by calling (250) 370-9101.

Competitive Improv Comedy with Garden City Improv

With a cozy atmosphere and good tunes, this one is going to be special.
