After a sunny weekend, Victoria can expect more overcast days and showers throughout the coming week.
According to Environment Canada’s forecast for the week, Monday, March 2nd will be the last sunny day for a while. The day is expected to be mainly sunny with cloudiness increasing into the evening. The high is expected to get up to 10°C, while the low will drop down to around 5°C.
On Tuesday, the rain predictions begin in Victoria, with Environment Canada calling for a 40% chance of showers and a generally overcast day in Victoria. The high will reach around 10°C while the low will be near 7°C.
Wednesday will bring more showers to the region, as Tuesday’s precipitation extends throughout the evening. The high will be around 12°C and the overnight low will drop down to 7°C.
Environment Canada is calling for a 70% chance of showers on Thursday and a slightly cooler daytime high of 9°C. The low will be near 5°C and the rain is predicted to continue through the night.
Friday’s forecast calls for a cloudy day with periods of rain and a high of 11°C, whereas Saturday’s forecast predicts a 60% chance of showers in Greater Victoria and a high of 13°C. On Saturday evening, the week’s rain is expected to finally let up, just before the weekend is over.
On Sunday, the national weather authority predicts a partially cloudy day with a 30% chance of showers. Though the day will be mostly cloudy, the sun is expected to poke through here and there.

Up-island, the forecast will be similarly rainy, although many areas will receive less precipitation over the weekend than Victoria is expecting.
Nanaimo’s forecast calls for sun on both Saturday and Sunday, with daytime highs of between 9°C and 11°C.
In Courtenay and Comox, the weekend will be partially cloudy with highs similar to that of Nanaimo’s forecast.
Tofino and Ucluelet are less likely to fare so well with sunny weather though. According to Environment Canada, the central western coast of Vancouver Island can expect rain on both Saturday and Sunday.
