A free Caribbean winter festival will be warming up downtown Victoria this Saturday

The second annual DWTN Winter Lime Festival is bringing warmth and vibrant Caribbean culture to downtown Victoria this Saturday, February 28th.

This free, family-friendly celebration, organized by Vancouver Island Caribbean Hub, will transform Ship Point into a lively Caribbean gathering from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

It’s the perfect way to wrap up Black History Month, with music, movement, and Victoria’s first-ever all-Caribbean food lineup.

Last year, DWTN Winter Lime drew more than 4,000 attendees, who enjoyed delicious food, great company, and an unforgettable outdoor winter experience.

This year, visitors can look forward to live Caribbean DJs, high-energy aerobics sessions, cultural storytelling, trivia, a kids zone, a market, and complimentary hot chocolate.

Plus, for the first time in Victoria, the festival will feature five vendors exclusively offering Caribbean cuisine, including jerk chicken, doubles, patties, and more.

While the cold weather may have people retreating indoors, Winter Lime encourages everyone to bundle up, head outside, and immerse themselves in the warmth of Caribbean culture.

“In many ways, Winter Lime is our way of bringing sunshine to February,” says Kara Randall, Co-Founder of the Caribbean Hub.

“Even in colder weather, we can create warmth through culture, music, and connection. The response last year showed us that Victoria is ready for this.”

Don’t miss out on this exciting celebration of Caribbean music, food, and stories—all for free and open to everyone!
