A break from winter is upon Victoria!

According to the latest forecast from Environment Canada, Greater Victoria can expect sunny skies all weekend long.

This trend should last through most of next week as well, until next weekend when rain may return to the region.

Beginning on Friday, January 16th, sun and clear skies are forecasted all day, with a slight northern wind of 20 km/h and a high of 12°C. The overnight low will drop down to 1°C.

On Saturday, the sun will remain with very few clouds in the sky, a high of up to 11°C and an overnight low of 2°C.

Sunday’s forecast is a repeat of Saturday’s with sun, a high of 11°C and a low of 2°C.

Moving on to next week, Monday’s forecast calls for a high of 9°C, but the day should remain sunny with clear conditions.

On Tuesday, some cloud coverage will return to the region with a mix of sun and clouds expected. The high will drop to 7°C at this time.

Wednesday’s forecast calls for overcast conditions and a high of just 7°C.

Then, on Thursday, Environment Canada is forecasting a return to the rainy conditions that are common in Victoria winters.
