A 36-year-old man who was reported missing in Nanaimo earlier this month has been located deceased, according to police.
Nanaimo RCMP confirmed Wednesday that Teddy Archibald, who was last seen in late December, has been found. Police say the circumstances surrounding his death are not considered suspicious.
Archibald was reported missing on January 6th after he had not been seen since December 29th. At the time, investigators said he had recently arrived in Nanaimo for a construction job and was unfamiliar with the area, raising concerns for his safety.
He was last seen in the vicinity of Carlos O’Bryan’s pub on Stewart Avenue, prompting RCMP to ask the public for assistance in locating him.
“The Nanaimo RCMP offers its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased,” said RMCP.

Archibald is described as a Caucasian man, standing 6’ tall, with a medium build, short strawberry blonde hair and a beard.
