With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, OpenTable has revealed its list of Canada’s top 100 most romantic restaurants in 2026, and four Victoria restaurants made the cut.
Topping the list of BC restaurants is The Dining Room at The Butchart Gardens, followed by Glo Restaurant + Lounge, Tea at The Empress, and Finn’s Seafood, Chops, and Cocktails.
The rankings were determined after analyzing over 900,000 diner reviews, ratings, reservation demand, and the percentage of reviews tagged “romantic” from December 1st, 2024 to November 30th, 2025.
Other BC restaurants featured are Old Vines Restaurant at Quails’ Gate Winery, Gordon Ramsay Steak in Richmond, and ATLAST steak + fish in Langley.
In addition to highlighting where you should dine this Valentine’s Day, the report also sheds light on emerging trends in how Canadians are celebrating love.
Compared to 2024, the report saw a 65% increase in group bookings of four and an 88% increase in parties of six for Valentine’s Day 2025.
This points to a growing trend of people celebrating the holiday with friends, especially on Galentine’s Day, which is February 13th.
With the most romantic holiday around the corner, Victoria’s inclusion on this list solidifies the city as a prime place for intimate dining experience.
Whether you’re planning an intimate dinner for two or a “Palentine’s” night out, these top-rated spots in Victoria are sure to make for a memorable and delicious celebration!
