It’s finally the weekend!

Victoria is packed with events this weekend, and there’s a little bit of something for everyone—whether you’re looking to sip, shop, cheer, or simply soak up the city vibes. 

From exploring local markets and enjoying family-friendly activities to catching live music, drag performances, and electrifying hockey action, the weekend lineup is full of ways to get out and make the most of your time.

Here are 10 things to do in and around Victoria this weekend—January 10th and 11th:

Moss Street Market

Victoria’s premier farmers market!

Come browse over 30 local and organic farmers, amazing prepared food and hot food vendors, and dozens of local crafters and artisans, bakers, cideries, distillers, brewers, vintners, and more.

Drag Brunch at the Vicious Poodle

Start your day off right with Drag Brunch at the Vicious Poodle this weekend! 

Enjoy some classic brunch menu items while watching some of Victoria’s top drag performers.

  • When: Saturday, January 10th & Sunday, January 11th – 11 a.m.

Belfry Theatre’s 50th Anniversary Open House

The Belfry Theatre is celebrating its 50th anniversary with an interactive open house on January 10th, inviting the community to step behind the scenes of one of Victoria’s most beloved arts spaces.

From noon to 4 p.m., visitors can take part in guided or self-guided building tours, interactive and static displays, and a ticketed historical walking tour of Fernwood by John Adams from Discover the Past Walking Tours. 

Visitors can also peek into rehearsals, including “Meet the Donuts”—a cast-and-crew ritual where performers connect with Belfry staff over warm drinks. 

There will also be free coffee, hot apple cider, hot chocolate, or tea while staff get you set up with their scavenger hunt.

Tina – The Tina Turner Musical at the Royal Theatre 

An uplifting comeback story like no other, TINA – The Tina Turner Musical is the inspiring journey of a woman who broke barriers and became the Queen of Rock n’ Roll. 

Set to the pulse-pounding soundtrack of her most beloved hits, this electrifying sensation will send you soaring to the rafters.

Victoria Royals vs. Spokane Chiefs – Hockey Fest

Don’t miss the second game between the Victoria Royals and Spokane Chiefs, plus Hockey Fest!

Hockey Fest festivities begin at 1 p.m. with a hot stove in the Lions Den Restaurant featuring Canucks alumni Stan Smyl and Kirk McLean, joined by fan-favourite mascot Fin.

The excitement continues at 2 p.m. with a party in the plaza at Gate 1, complete with music, NHL street hockey, mini sticks, and appearances from Cooper the Co-op mascot and Fin. 

Peninsula Co-op is also giving away 1,000 thunder sticks at doors open, along with a $500 gift card that will be awarded during the game, which starts at 4:05 p.m.

Saturday Dinner and Drag

Join Friends of Dorothy for an amazing evening of Dinner and Drag! 

With performances from a phenomenal cast of performers, amazingly curated cocktails, and delicious food, this is a Saturday you won’t want to miss! 

It gets busy, so reservations are strongly encouraged.

The Josh Warren Quintet at Hermann’s Jazz Club

Originally from Victoria BC, Josh Warren is a bassist, composer, arranger, and musical director based in Toronto. 

While rooted in the jazz tradition, Josh plays and records in a variety of styles—spanning swinging straight-ahead jazz to high-energy pop, rock, and soul.

Back in town for one night only and accompanied by some of the best musicians on the west coast, Josh is thrilled to present a night of high-energy music!

The Office Themed Trivia Night at The Mint

The Office Trivia is coming back to Victoria! 

There will be three rounds of trivia from some of the most memorable episodes of one of the most popular TV shows in history with questions ranging from easy to extremely tough.

Come for the cool prizes to be won and to see video questions sent in from a cast member!
