Warrant issued for 57-year-old Nanaimo man who allegedly broke into car dealership

Nanaimo RCMP have issued a warrant for a 57-year-old man and are asking for the public’s assistance in locating him. 

The suspect, Dereck Paul, is wanted on one count of break and enter for an alleged incident at a local car dealership on Kenworth Road in late July. 

Back in July, Nanaimo RCMP responded to a glass break alarm at the business, where they located Paul and arrested him.

Paul was later released on conditions, but failed to appear at his court date. 

As of this publication, his current whereabouts are unknown, so police issued a warrant for his arrest.

Paul is described by police as a “non-white” man, standing 5’5” tall, weighing around 180 pounds with black/grey hair and brown eyes.
