Everyone’s favourite festive Ferris wheel returns!

The Downtown Victoria Business Association (DVBA) is bringing back the iconic attraction to Lights of Wonder, giving visitors a chance to take in the holiday display from above.

After first appearing in Centennial Square in 2012, the Ferris wheel officially became an annual holiday tradition at Lights of Wonder starting in 2016.

Beginning December 19, visitors can take in the dazzling Lights of Wonder from above. The Ferris wheel will operate Sunday to Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Friday night will also feature live entertainment and food and drink vendors, alongside the return of this beloved attraction.

From 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., prepare to laugh while watching comedians Ryan Wallace and Elyott Ryan put on a hilarious performance, hosted by Mackenzie Edwards.

Afterwards, grab a snack or drink from attending vendors, like 420 Poutine House, Aerobic Geisha Coffee, and Donair Dogs.

For those seeking a libation while wandering Centennial Square, Lights of Wonder is offering alcohol on site every Friday (excluding December 26), with the LampPost Beer Bus serving local brews from Whistle Buoy, Herald Street Brew Works, Phillips Brewing, Vancouver Island Brewing, and Swift Brewing.

From 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., SUGAR, a local throwback soul band, will be livening up the evening with all of your favourite hits.

There will also be a free festive photo booth and an outdoor game of JENGA and corn hole.

Don’t miss the return of the beloved holiday Ferris wheel and a full evening of seasonal fun this Friday at Lights of Wonder in Centennial Square.
