It’s the most wonderful time of the year, Victoria!
The 17th Annual Gingerbread Showcase opens to the public on Friday, November 21st at the Grand Pacific Hotel for another year of festive fun in Victoria.
Hosted by Habitat for Humanity, this is their main fundraising event, bringing together community members and local creatives in support of affordable housing.
Visitors can browse the incredibly decorated gingerbread houses daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. until January 4th, 2026, and vote for their favourite one—earning the winner the honour of being the 2025 People’s Choice Award!
Each house embodies this year’s theme, Homes for All, emphasizing the essential need for everyone to have a place they can call home.
“This is one of those events that fill you with joy,” said Carmen Rempel, Habitat Victoria’s CEO.
“Every gingerbread creation tells a story, and when you visit, vote, and donate, you are helping write a much bigger one about building homes and hope right here in our community.”
This free event is for all ages and is a great way to spend time with your family and friends this holiday season while supporting a good cause.
Every donation, both big and small, makes a difference in the community, helping to provide homes for local families.
The holidays are a busy time of year, so if you can’t make it down in person, no problem! You can still participate in the fun by viewing the entries and voting on their website.
Every vote counts!
The winners will be announced January 6th, 2026, so head over to the Grand Pacific Hotel to view the impressive gingerbread houses, cast your vote, and support your community!
