Happy pre-Halloween weekend!

With All Hallow’s Eve nearly upon us, there are plenty of haunting and daunting themed events happening this weekend to get you ready for the main event.

If that’s not your jam, treat yourself to a fall market or visit a pumpkin patch—the possibilities are endless!

Without further ado, here are 15 things to do in and around Victoria this weekend—October 25th and 26th:

The Turn of the Screw at Royal Theatre

Get ready for a night that’s eerie, beautiful, and a little spine-tingling!

Pacific Opera Victoria is diving into the ghostly world of Henry James’ The Turn of the Screw, bringing Benjamin Britten’s chilling opera to life at the Royal Theatre later this month.

Performances run October 22nd, 24th, 26th and 28th, and promise to keep audiences on edge from the first note to the last.

Make Space’s Spooktacular Grand Opening Event

There’s a new self-storage in town, and that’s worth celebrating!

Make Space Storage is celebrating the grand opening of their brand-new North Saanich facility at 1921 Mills Road with a community Spooktacular Grand Opening event on Saturday, October 25th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.—and you’re invited.

Crafted Farmhouse Market

Crafted Farmhouse Market is back once more, popping up in beautiful Sidney by the sea this weekend.

Hosted at the Mary Winspear Centre on Friday, October 24th and Saturday, October 25th, you’ll find over 60 local artisans with their wares on display.

The event will feature handcrafted jewelry, home décor, and gourmet goodies—the perfect mix of creativity and community!

Make Good Party: Halloween Edition

This weekend, Make Good Party will be taking over downtown Victoria’s Market Square for an unforgettable Halloween party, complete with DJs and food vendors.

For this event, organizers have concocted a fun and intriguing legend which tells of fortune being found beneath Market Square.

Pumpkin Carving Day

Halloween Bash Music Festival

Get ready for the ultimate Halloween Bash at Mount Doug with a family-friendly music festival featuring incredible bands and spooky vibes! Gather your crew for a frightfully fun evening of live music, dancing, and Halloween magic.

So dust off your best costume and get ready to dance the night away with your fellow monsters!

Sidney Spooktacular Car Cruise

The streets of Sidney are about to get festive again for Halloween.

On Saturday, October 25th, the Sidney Spooktacular Halloween Car Cruise returns for its fifth year, and organizer Nikki Bunn says the goal is simple, have fun, dress up, and bring smiles to the community.

Bunn, who started the event in 2020 during the height the COVID-19 lockdowns, said the idea came from a need to celebrate Halloween safely when trick-or-treating and public gatherings were on pause.

  • Where: Starts at Canadian Tire then works its way to Beacon Avenue, turn on First, onto Ocean Avenue, right on Fifth and right down Beacon. Cars will stop on the roundabout for photos at the end
  • When: Saturday, October 25th, cars meet at 6 p.m., parade starts at 6:20 p.m.

Haunted Alley in Langford

This Haunted Alley is free to attend for one night only in Langford!

They aim to scare, so if this is not for you – please do not attend. All are welcome.

Rocky Horror Picture Show: all drag cast

Drag Sunday Productions returns for its fourth annual Rocky Horror Picture Show this October at the Metro Studio Theatre.

It’s bigger than ever and now expands into Bastion Square.

The free, family-friendly event, which runs from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., promises a full day of live entertainment, festive shopping, and plenty of treats for all ages.

All Dressed in White Bridal Show

Planning a wedding can be stressful, but an event in Parksville will make the journey easier and a lot more enjoyable.

The All Dressed in White Bridal Show is happening at the Jensen Centre on Sunday, October 26th. It will bring together more than 40 wedding vendors from across the island.
