Several vehicles were damaged and a few were destroyed after a dramatic driving incident in Nanaimo Monday afternoon.
Around 1 p.m. September 29th, police reported that a white pickup truck traveling west on Third Street suddenly lost control.
It collided with a row of parked vehicles between Watfield Avenue and Wakesiah Avenue.
The truck then crossed the median, struck more parked vehicles, and swerved back across the road before finally stopping after hitting several others near Wakesiah.
Emergency crews, including RCMP, Fire, and BC Emergency Health Services, rushed to the scene. Only the driver of the truck and their passenger were injured, but police said their injuries are not life-threatening.
Both were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Details on what caused the crash were not released and the stretch of roadway was closed for hours while crews cleaned the area.
