Aviation Talk with Doug Rollins
Doug Rollins, a museum member, volunteer and former Head Librarian at the BC Aviation Museum, has selected a variety of stories to amuse, entertain and inform!
Covering a span of 100 years, he’ll detail different aspects of local aviation. It’s the chance for attendees to learn more about local history and meet life-minded aviation lovers.
Admission is $5 at the door.

Back Off Burnout at Junction Cidery
Junction Orchard & Cidery invites everyone who’s been feeling a little stretched thin or worn out to partake in the their Back Off Burnout event!
This event is led by Robyn Kelly, who will be running a workshop centered around slowing down, checking in and reconnecting with what matters most.
Tickets are $85 per person and will include a nourishing dinner and snacks.

Fernwood Open Mic
Members of the Fernwood community has been organizing open mic nights on Wednesdays!
So, if you’ve been meaning to share your craft and grow more confident in front of a crowd, join them at the Fernwood skatepark for 7 p.m.
Newcomers, BIPOC, and women will get priority signup.

Expiry Date by Jasper Mallette
Don’t miss your chance to catch Expiry Date, a staged reading and workshop of a brand new piece of trans literature.
Written by local playwright Jasper Mallette, there will be a reading and talkback to help develop this important piece of art!
As described, Expiry Date is a full-length, one-act play about two transmasc people living in an apocalypse, debating on whether or not hormones are essential to their survival.
Admission is by donation.

Trivia at Spinnakers
Dust of the ol’ thinking cap and head down to Spinnakers Brewpub for some Sixty Watt Trivia!
You can have a team of up to eight people, and teams of three or fewer will receive a bonus point each round.
Spinnakers takes reservations, so you can book your table! Trivia is free to play and free to win.

BONUS: Aging is a Drag 2
Open to residents, family and the community, Amica Jubilee House is hosting their second Aging is a Drag event on Birch Street!
This show promises to be bigger and brighter than last year, as they’ll be taking the entire block and turning it into a drag runway.
Featuring an all-star lineup including Canada’s Drag Race finalist and Miss Congeniality Vivian Vanderpuss, Amica’s very own Anya Marx, and local legends Woofie, Eddilicious, Mina Mercury, and Decathlon!
There’ll be 18 solo and group numbers inspired by the 1950s through the 1980s, and will be around an hour-long.
