Another weekend, another fun mix of events to partake in across the city!
The Ska & Reggae Festival, TD Victoria JazzFest, as well as Sidney’s Seaside Music Festival are both in full swing, and will be throughout the whole weekend.

TD Victoria JazzFest
Welcome back the TD Victoria JazzFest—the longest running multi-day music festival on Vancouver Island!
From Friday, June 20th to Sunday, June 29th, get ready for many incredible days of high-caliber artists performing in both outdoor and indoor venues.
Similar to previous years, there will be a wide variety of both ticketed and free shows, all of which will be in their calendar.
Additionally, they’ll offer workshops and clinics with acclaimed jazz musicians throughout the festival, too!

Ska & Reggae Festival
The 26th Annual Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival officially kicked off on Wednesday, and it’s already shaping up to be one for the books. Full festival passes, VIP tickets, and the much-hyped Propagandhi show are all sold out.
But if you missed the boat on passes, don’t worry, single-day tickets are still available for some of the weekend’s biggest acts.
The festival runs until Sunday, June 22nd, and full lineup information as well as tickets can be found on their website.

Seaside Music Festival
The Seaside Music Festival in Sidney kicks off this Friday, June 20th and runs until Sunday, June 22nd!
Featuring a variety of wonderful performances across different genres, each day will offer something new to check out—including both ticketed and free shows.
This weekend will bring musicians such as Valdy, Coco Love Alcorn, The Unfaithful Servants, Lester Quitzau with Damian Graham and more.

Summer at The Malahat SkyWalk
Every Saturday and Sunday until the beginning of September, The Malahat SkyWalk is offering live performances, as well as special visits from That Bubble Guy.
The music takes place at the Tower Plaza, where visitors can relax and enjoy the outdoor dining area, lounge on a hammock, and more.
This summer’s lineup features over a dozen musicians, including An&Ben, Big Awesome, Woodstick, Peter McMaster, Newberry Street, Dos Cabezas, Julie Corrigan, and more.
General admission is $42.95 if purchased online, and $45.95 at the gate.

Sweet Street at Westshore Town Centre
The deliciously popular ‘Sweet Street’ returns to Westshore Town Centre this weekend, and this year, there’s even more to snack on.
From cotton candy and ice cream to cookies, cupcakes, international delicacies and more, there will be something for everyone on Sweet Street. Expect music, activities, and a brand-new feature: a licensed area serving up dessert inspired cocktails, beer, and cider served by The Bubble Bus! Visit the Flower Truck by Soule Flower Farm and pick up a ready-made bouquet (or create your own!) and bring home some sweet scents.

Live Music at Breakwater Bistro & Café
The Breakwater Bistro & Café has recently relaunched their Tasting Room just below the restaurant and will now be offering live music on Fridays and Saturdays!
They offer full bar service as well as casual pub fare from the kitchen upstairs. The beachside bar atmosphere is perfect for meeting up with friends, and is family-friendly.

National Indigenous Day Block Party
Join the Coastal Bead Collective in celebrating National Indigenous Day with this epic block party!

The Strange Hour: A Brunch Variety Show
In response to the recent loss of arts venues in Victoria, Spec Theatre and Keith Sonic wanted to organize a reoccurring event to both celebrate local talent and provide top-notch entertainment.
Enter, The Strange Hour: A Brunch Variety Show—featuring performers and presenters across genres for a brunch-hour show, featuring food from Syriana and drinks from Driftwood Brewing.
Additionally, a collection of vendors will be on site as well, so you can add shopping to your list of entertainment provided!

Sooke Region Museum Open House and Salmon BBQ
If you’re up for a drive, the Sooke Region Museum is hosting an open house and salmon BBQ this Sunday!
There will be live music, activities, and a traditional salmon barbecue for everyone to enjoy. It’s also an opportunity for the public to view the collections area beneath the museum.
Admission is free, and the food is there for purchase. The meal comes with the salmon, potato and green salad, a bun, and strawberry shortcake.

Uptown Multicultural Event
Get ready for the Uptown Multicultural Festival!

Jerk Fest: Taste of Jamaica
Join the Jamaicans on Vancouver Island Canadian Services Society for the ultimate Jamaican food and culture experience at Banfield Park!

Victoria Track Classic
The Victoria Track Classic is back this weekend at UVic’s Centennial Stadium—and it’s more than just a track meet.
Gates open at 1:30 p.m., but the action starts early with a free “Run, Jump, Throw” clinic for kids ages 5–10 at 1 p.m., followed by the crowd-favourite Thunder Run featuring UVic’s beloved mascot.
On the track, some of Canada’s top middle-distance athletes—including UVic’s Marisha Thompson—will go head-to-head in a full afternoon of high-level competition.
Off the track, families can enjoy music, food trucks, inflatables, and more. Whether you’re cheering on future Olympians or just looking for a fun day out, this is a summer event you won’t want to miss. $15 per person – kids 12 and under get in free! Grab your tickets online here, or at the gate.

Victoria Italian Day
