The Victoria International Wine Festival is back from October 2nd to 4th, bringing a community-focused celebration of wine, food, and connection to the heart of the city.
This year’s festival promises a relaxed, all-inclusive tasting experience featuring over 400 wines from around the world, paired with events that make wine more accessible and less intimidating.
Tickets for the event went on sale May 15th, and for those booking early with friends, there’s a 25% discount on Grand Tasting tickets when you purchase three or more—just use promo code WINESQUAD at checkout (valid until July 1st).
Whether you’re a seasoned sipper or just getting curious, the festival is built for everyone—from casual tasters to eager learners.
The Grand Tastings on October 3rd and 4th at the Victoria Conference Centre are the centrepiece, offering unlimited samples, a tasting guide, and plenty of time to explore at your own pace.
“In a time where everything feels more expensive or uncertain, the goal was to create something simple and communal,” says Festival Producer David Bain. “Wine is best enjoyed together—and you shouldn’t need a degree to have fun tasting it.”
There’s also a Friday night seminar exploring Canadian wine, and the return of Roses and Rosé with sparkling wine now added to the mix.
The weekend lineup includes a Friday seminar titled Exploring Canada — A Journey Through Our Terroir offering a deep dive into Canadian wine regions and the styles that make them unique.
Whether you’re in the industry or just enjoy a good glass of red, it’s a chance to expand your palate and knowledge.
Also returning this year is Roses and Rosé, a crowd-favourite event that now includes sparkling wines alongside its summery sips.
Additional programming like wine-paired dinners and focused tastings will be revealed over the coming weeks, with organizers hinting at a few surprises along the way.
“We’re letting this year’s festival unfold like a good bottle—slowly and with intention,” says Bain. “There’s more to come, and it’ll be worth the wait.”
Now one of Canada’s most celebrated wine festivals, the event continues to boost Victoria’s tourism and hospitality industries each year, while keeping the experience fun, welcoming, and community-driven.
