Whether you’re a resident or visiting on a holiday, consider these hotels as your next must-stay!

Tripadvisors “Travellers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best Hotels” for Canada have been released, and two Vancouver Island hotels have topped the list.

According to a media release, this award celebrates the highest level of excellence in travel, and is given to the places that achieve no shortage of stellar reviews and opinions from the Tripadvisors community over a year-long period.

“Out of our 8 million listings, fewer than 1% achieve this milestone,” the release reads.

Sitting in 1st place is Victoria’s Abigail’s Hotel, a 1930s Tudor mansion nestled in the downtown core and near the Inner Harbour.

This adult-only, intimate 30-room property is the perfect blend of antique charm and modern comforts. Abigail’s House features high-end amenities, exceptional customer service, and complimentary gourmet breakfasts.

Guests are encouraged to unwind in the cozy library next to their gorgeous fireplace, or explore nearby attractions within walking distance.

Not far behind at second place is Victoria’s Magnolia Hotel And Spa, which is also within easy walking distance of major tourist attractions in downtown Victoria.

This hotel is a 4-star accommodation, and has a boutique feel with spacious rooms, luxurious amenities and high-quality toiletries.

There’s an on-site restaurant called The Courtney Room, known for its award-winning wine program, and a rejuvenating spa.

If you’re curious about third place, Wedgewood Hotel & Spa in Vancouver scored this slot! Popular because of its warm elegance, old-world charm and its close proximity to beach access.
