Looking for a summer escape on Vancouver Island?

Nootka Marine Adventures, home of three remote fishing resorts nestled in the heart of Nootka Sound, has officially unveiled its newly rebuilt and redesigned cedar yurts at Moutcha Bay Resort.

Bookings are now available for the season from mid-June onwards!

Originally introduced back in 2012, the Yurts at Moutcha Bay have long been a favourite among couples, families, and small groups looking for a unique glamping experience surrounded by nature.

After a full-scale renovation that kicked off in February of last year, these upgraded accommodations blend traditional rustic charm with sleek modern touches.

“We are very excited to welcome guests to our newly redesigned Cedar Yurts,” said Dave Pearson, Sales & Marketing Manager at Nootka Marine Adventures.

Outfitted with new cedar siding, each yurt now offers a soundproof, temperature-controlled environment designed to deliver privacy, comfort and an immersive connection to the natural beauty of Vancouver Island’s wild west coast.

“We offer a wide range of accommodation options across our three resort properties and the Yurts at Moutcha Bay Resort have been a popular choice among couples, families and other group looking for a bit more space and privacy while enjoying the beauty of the Nootka Sound,” continued Pearson.

“The new Yurts elevate that experience even further with improved comfort and additional luxury touches while keeping in tune with the natural environment and traditional aesthetics.”

Guests can choose between two styles—the luxury cedar yurts, which comfortably accommodate up to six people; and the signature cedar yurts, ideal for couples or small families.

Both come with views of Moutcha Bay and Nootka Sound, private barbeques, wrap-around balconies and upgraded waterfront decks for soaking in those postcard-worthy sunsets.

Their properties are also home to the Angler’s Academy, giving both seasoned fishers and total beginners a chance to learn and explore one of the planet’s most prolific salmon runs.

Outfitted with the largest fleet of Seakeeper-equipped boats on the coast, Nootka Marine Adventures is redefining the standard for guided fishing in Canada.

Adventure is out there, Victoria!
