This week is heating up to be beautiful once again, with plenty of sun in the forecast, despite one dreary day.
According to Environment Canada, this week’s high temperatures will remain around 20°C with most days calling for sun.
Starting with today, Monday, May 26th, the predicted high is the lowest of the week at 18°C with a mix of sun and cloud. The projected overnight low is similarly the lowest of the week, at 9°C.
Moving on to Tuesday, the high will bump up to around 20°C with nothing but sun in the forecast. Tuesday’s overnight low will be around 10°C with clear skies.
Wednesday will bring with it the best forecast of the week, with a projected high of 24°C, which would make it the hottest day of the year thus far, if accurately predicted by Environment Canada. Wednesday’s overnight low is forecasted to be 11°C, with a 40% of showers setting the stage for a dreary Thursday.
Thursday is the only day in this week’s forecast that calls for rain, with a predicted 60% of showers in the Victoria region, although the day will still hit a moist 19°C. Thursday’s overnight low will be around 9°C
On Friday, Environment Canada’s forecast is predicting a high of 20°C with not a cloud in the sky, leaving the rain of Thursday in the past. The overnight low on Friday is expected to be around 11°C.
Looking ahead to the weekend, it should be another beautiful occasion, with Saturday and Sunday expected to have highs around 21°C yet again, with clear skies and overnight lows of 10°C.

Historically, as May comes to a close and Victoria enters June, the average high temperature is 17°C, according to Environment Canada.
The highest recorded temperature for May 31st was in 1922 when Victoria saw a high of 28.9°C, meanwhile the lowest recorded temperature on May 31st was 5°C, and took place in 1958.
