VicPD are investigating what they believe was a random stabbing that took place behind the Odeon theatre in downtown Victoria on Tuesday afternoon.
According to VicPD, a man was found injured in a parkade in the 1800-block of Blanshard Street around 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, April 9th.
BC Emergency Health Services contacted police after discovering the man with a stab wound. He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Following an initial investigation, police believe the man was attacked around noon the previous day in the 700-block of Johnson Street, behind the Odeon theatre.
The suspect, a woman not known to the victim, fled the scene and remains at large.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian woman in her early twenties, approximately five feet four inches tall, wearing black clothing and a pink hair wrap.
Due to the random nature of the assault, police are urging the public to be cautious in the area and are appealing to any potential witnesses to come forward.
