Sooke RCMP say that two men have been arrested for alleged drug trafficking and sexual exploitation.
According to police the investigation was initially launched back in August of last year after receiving information that the two suspects were allegedly taking advantage of young vulnerable women between the age of 19 and 22-years-old.
On April 22nd, police arrested the duo following the execution of a search warrant at a mobile home park in Sooke.
The two individuals were arrested at the scene without incident.
During the search of the mobile home, police seized illicit drugs, drug paraphernalia and photographs of young women whom investigators believed to be vulnerable victims.
Sooke RCMP are now seeking additional victims to help them build an investigation against the two suspects.
“The investigation remains active and investigators believe there may be other victims who haven’t spoken to police yet,” said Corporal Alex Bérubé, spokesperson for the BC RCMP.
Police say both suspects, men aged 48 and 51-years-old, have been released on conditions until their next court date on July 17th.
