Phillips Brewing & Malting Co. just announced they are teaming up with Roast this summer, as the eatery is losing their kitchen space in Victoria’s Public Market.
Roast will be establishing a pop-up kitchen at the Phillips Tasting Room this summer, through to September and will be pairing their food with the brewery’s well-known craft beer.
“We are excited to partner with Roast to bring quality, well-known local food to our Tasting Room and to celebrate two great brands coming together within our community,” said Jim Lister, President at Phillips Brewing & Malting Co.
“With Roast being a beloved brand in Victoria, we are thrilled that they can have a new temporary home at Phillips, and we see Roast’s delicious meals, both lunch and dinner, being a natural fit with Phillips beers, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages.”
Lister added that community collaboration is important to the Phillips brand and that was part of the reason they decided to allow Roast to set up shop in the tasting room.
“Joining forces with Phillips feels like a natural evolution for Roast — two locally grown brands coming together to serve the community we love,” said Maryanne Carmack, Roast Owner/Operator
“At the heart of this partnership is our shared belief that good food and great beverages should bring people together. We’re thrilled to keep fueling Victoria from such an iconic space.”
This partnership is set to begin on May 12th, just ahead of the long weekend, when the tasting room’s hours will be expanded.
In the meantime, Phillips’ kitchen will undergo some renovations in order to get ready for the new summer food program.
The brewery says that there were no major disruptions to service hours during construction.
