Melatonin users, take a closer look at your product packaging.
A Canada-wide recall for Life Brand 10 milligram Timed Release Melatonin has been released, due to incorrect dosage instructions.
Health Canada has labeled it as a “Type II” recall, which is applied when it’s probable that the project will cause temporary or reversible health consequences
The health authority said serious adverse consequences are unlikely with this recall.
Impacted lot numbers are as follows: 4D3965YA2, 4F4495YA2, 4F44961B0, 4F44962LH, 4H49262LH and 5C47764ES
If you’re in possession of this product, verify that yours is affected and talk to your healthcare provider prior to discontinuing use.
The recall advisory asks that you report any Life Brand melatonin side effects or any other safety complaints to Health Canada.
This recall was posted on Tuesday, April 15th. At the time of publication, no serious side effects have been reported.
