Daniel Lapp’s ‘Joy of Life’ concerts 

The much-anticipated Joy of Life concerts, led by celebrated Canadian fiddler Daniel Lapp, return to the Alix Goolden Performance Hall at the Victoria Conservatory of Music this week!

This year’s performances take place on Friday, April 25th, and Saturday, April 26th, with both concerts at 7:30 p.m.

Pacific Opera Victoria: ‘Rigoletto’

Pacific Opera Victoria presents Giuseppe Verdi’s Rigoletto at Victoria’s Royal Theatre, which opened on April 23rd!

This powerful opera, centered on themes of love, betrayal, and revenge, will take the stage for a limited run, with four performances from April 23rd to 29th.

Set against the backdrop of Victorian England, the opera delves into the emotional journey of Rigoletto, a servant who becomes consumed by a thirst for vengeance, and the tragic consequences that follow.

Ticket prices vary by seat selection, but they start at $35. To make opera accessible to a wider audience, Pacific Opera is offering $15 tickets for youth under 18 and preview tickets for students and community groups.

West Coast Amusements at Mayfair Mall

Canada’s biggest travelling carnival is back and is coming to Victoria, starting this Thursday and running until Sunday, April 27th!

West Coast Amusements (WCA) presents a mix of favourite rides, classic carnival snacks and no shortage of games and fun.

Ride wristbands are $50 and can be purchased on their website.

La Chinga at Lucky Bar

If you’re looking for a night out, Vancouver-based La Chinga is coming to Lucky Bar!

Also featured this Friday will be Start With the Cobra and a solo set from local hero Mike McKinnon.

Friends of Dorothy is excited to host another Dinner & Drag happening this Friday!
