One of our favourites is the classic Easter egg hunt, which is always bound to get families and friends involved in elaborate games that encourage creativity and movement.

Easter at Merridale
Merridale Cidery & Distillery will have fabulous Easter activities happening all weekend, so bring the kids and get the most out of your days off!
There’s a scavenger hunt for kids across 12 acres, while adults are welcome to sip and savour with their Easter-Surprise flights in their lounge.

Easter Weekend at The Malahat SkyWalk
Take your Easter celebration to new heights at the Malahat Skywalk!

60th Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition
The Royal BC Museum is once again rolling out the red carpet for one of the world’s most celebrated photography exhibitions: Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
The exhibit kicked off on February 14th and runs until April 27th, showcasing over 100 breathtaking new images—each one a testament to the awe-inspiring beauty of the natural world.
Highlighted amongst the collection includes “The Swarm of Life” by Vancouver Island’s own Shane Gross, this year’s Adult Grand Title Winner.

Rodgers & Hammerstein’s ‘Cinderella’
Get ready for a magical experience this spring as the Canadian Heritage Arts Society (CHAS) and the Canadian College of Performing Arts (CCPA) present a reimagined version of classic, Cinderella.
Opening Friday, April 18th and running until Saturday, April 26th with a total of eight performances, the production is sure to delight audiences with a blend of stunning visuals, witty humour and magic.
This timeless tale gets a refreshing twist that’s set to the unforgettable music of Rodgers and Hammerstein, as well as a new book by playwright Douglas Carter Beane.

Paper Street Theatre’s Improv Festival
Don’t miss your chance to catch the last of Paper Street Theatre’s week-long Improv Festival, featuring improvisers from across the globe.
It kicked off on Tuesday, April 15th and runs until this Saturday, April 19th at the Intrepid Theatre Club.

Good Friday Service
This year’s city-wide Good Friday Service will take place at North Douglas Church, with one at 9 a.m. and another at 11 a.m. (children’s programming will only occur during the 11 a.m. service).

Live Comedy at The Maple Room
After a brief hiatus, Strath Laughs is back for another brilliant night of comedy, located in the Maple Room above the Sticky Wicket Pub!
The night will kick off with an open mic, and their headliner for Friday’s performance is Amit Solanki.
General admission tickets are $10 at the door, and performers get in for free.

OK, DOPE’s Blind Dates Event

Known as the ‘Easter Send,’ Wicket Hall will be hosting a club night with DJ Isa!

Photography Exhibit at Ross Bay Villa
Join the Ross Bay Villa Historic House Museum as they unveil a new photography show by local resident, Bob Paterson.
Paterson has photographed striking moments that build our sense of time and place, creating a sense of magic found in the everyday.
The exhibit is free to visit, and will available for viewing this Saturday, as well as April 26th and May 3rd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Afterwards, walk through the Villa’s blooming gardens and check out the 1865 heritage home, preserved with care by the Ross Bay Villa Society.

Saanich Earth Day Festival
Celebrate the beauty of the planet at the Saanich Earth Day Festival!

The Fairmont Empress will be hosting an Easter buffet this Sunday!
You’re invited to step into the elegance of the Palm Court, where the Tiffany-style dome will be glowing with the vibrant hues of spring.

Coffee Dance Club: Disco Edition
Experience the energetic Coffee Dance Club, Disco edition!

Easter at Christ Church Cathedral
There are a number of Easter events taking place at Christ Church Cathedral this weekend, one of which is their Easter Egg Hunt, Procession & Choral Eucharist, and Festal Evensong.
The egg hunt will take place on Deanery Lawn just before the procession service, running from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The procession and eucharist service at 11 a.m. is a celebration of Jesus’ resurrection, and will feature favourite Easter hymns, performed by the cathedral’s talented musicians.
As described, they offer Choral Evensong every Sunday, and Easter Day is their special “final shout,” and runs from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Oak Bay Hotel: Easter Brunch
Celebrate Eater with the Oak Bay Hotel, and enjoy a delicious Easter Brunch buffet in the stunning, ocean view Grand Lobby and the Dining Room.
