North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP seek help locating missing 51-year-old man (UPDATED)

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP have announced that Joseph Ernest Peters, who was reported missing on March 18, has sadly been located deceased.

Police say that although a full determination has yet to be made, criminality is not believed to be involved in the man’s sudden death.

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 51-year-old man, Joseph Ernest Peters. 

Peters was last seen, and reported missing on Tuesday, March 18th. 

Police describe him as an Indigenous man, standing 5’6” tall, weighing around 145 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. 

This is the only information that North Cowichan/Duncan has shared with the public at this time. 

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Joseph Peters should contact their local police, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
