Plane enthusiasts and those looking for Family Day activities, this is for you!
If you’ve ever dreamed of sitting in the cockpit of a plane and getting a close-up look at what it’s like to fly, now’s your chance.
The BC Aviation Museum is hosting an Open Cockpit Day on Sunday, February 16th, and you won’t want to miss it.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors will have the rare opportunity to step inside some of the museum’s iconic aircrafts and experience the cockpit like never before.
Some of the included aircrafts are the Republic Seabee, Trident Trigull, Lancaster FM-104, Noorduyn Norseman and others.
The Hawaii Mars will not be included in the Open Cockpit Day, as the museum has said the flight deck is not ready to receive visitors yet. They’re hoping for early spring!
Whether you’ve got a passion for aviation or just curious to see what it’s like behind the controls, this event is the perfect way to get up close to some aviation history.
And that’s not all! While you’re there, don’t miss the Used Book Sale, where you can score a great deal on a wide variety of genres!
There will also be plenty of other fun activities for all ages to enjoy, making it a fantastic family outing.
The best part? Admission is by donation, so you can enjoy all the fun without breaking the bank.
So mark your calendars, grab the family, and head down to the BC Aviation Museum on Sunday, February 16th, for a day of aviation adventure!
