The Christmas season is in full swing, and for many, that means finding the perfect festive backdrop for a holiday photo—an “Instagrammable” spot that captures the magic of the season.
If you’ve been scrolling through social media recently, you may have stumbled across photos of a dazzling alleyway adorned with thousands of lights.
Hosted by Fort Common, and in collaboration between City of Victoria and The Good Part collaboration, this enchanting scene isn’t just a fantasy, it’s a real-life hidden gem tucked away in downtown Victoria.
Nestled in a discreet alley next to the Starbucks at 801 Fort Street, this “tinsel tunnel” is a must-see attraction this holiday season.
The space is transformed into a holiday wonderland with shimmering tinsel decor and twinkling lights, creating a magical atmosphere that’s perfect for a seasonal photo-op.
In fact, they’re encouraging everyone to share their pictures of the display by using the hashtag #FestiveFortCommon.
Whether you’re looking to capture memories with loved ones or simply seeking a stunning backdrop for your social media feed, this festive tunnel delivers on charm and holiday cheer.
The display is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and will run until January 6th!
While you’re out visiting the tunnel’s glittering lights and sparkling decorations, make sure to go see the stunning light display at Lights of Wonder in Centennial Square—it’s a must-see event put on by the DVBA!
So, gather your friends, family, or even your furry companions, and head to Victoria’s hidden tinsel tunnel for a festive experience unlike any other.
