In Victoria, free transit begins at 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve for both conventional and handyDART services, with extended late-night service available to help riders get home safely.
On New Year’s Day, January 1st, service will operate on a Sunday schedule—a full holiday schedule can be viewed here.
In Nanaimo, service will also be free starting at 6 p.m., with extended late-night schedules in place for those celebrating into the early hours. Riders can check BC Transit’s website for detailed schedule information.
In Port Alberni, free transit begins at 7:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, with extended late-night service offered to accommodate partygoers. The full schedule is available online for those planning their routes.
