Victoria Royals VS. Vancouver Giants
Looking for an early event to celebrate with the family? Head to the Victoria Royals game, which kicks off at 2 p.m. If you’re up for even more hockey, stick around after the game for the World Juniors Watch Party, where Team Canada faces off against Team USA.

Lights of Wonder New Year’s Eve Celebration
On the final night of of Wonder, New Year’s Eve, the lights will remain on until 12:20 a.m. to allow visitors to ring in in the New Year. There will be two countdowns—one at 9 p.m. for families or those who prefer to retire early, and one at midnight.
In addition to the ferris wheel being open, there will be live performances by Joan Bessie, Avram McCerty Quartet, and Covers In A Dangerous Time. There will be plenty more happening so make sure

Disco & Tequila Night: A NYE Party
Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Capital Ballroom (858 Yates St) from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., exclusively for the 19+ crowd. Yurie, a regular at Vancouver’s iconic Celebrities Nightclub and a featured DJ at the Qatar FIFA World Cup. Local favourites Blacasphalt and Lex.
This isn’t just another NYE party—it’s a curated musical journey blending disco house, house, and electrifying club anthems. The night features mesmerizing lights, dazzling decorations, a stunning photo wall, and surprises at every turn.

Team Canada VS. Team United States World Juniors

Garden City Improv
Second City Toronto and Edinburgh Fringe veteran Kevin Matviw (JFL Toronto, Best of Second City) is teaming up with some of Victoria’s top improv comedians to present Garden City Improv: New Year’s Eve!
Celebrate the arrival of the new year with an evening full of laughs, music, and a completely improvised show created just for you, inspired by audience suggestions.
