Festival of Trees Victoria
While Christmas has come and gone, there is still time to visit the Festival of Trees Victoria at the Bay Centre. This year’s event will feature up to 100 sponsored trees, and they’ll remain on display from November 15th to January 5th.
The Bay Centre invites the community to enjoy the display, vote for their favorite trees, and help raise vital funds for BC’s children!

Ferris Wheel at Victoria’s Lights of Wonder
Get a great view of the downtown Victoria with the return of the ferris wheel at Lights of Wonder. This popular feature, which first appeared in Centennial Square in 2012 and became a local tradition until 2016, will make its grand comeback this year, adding a dose of thrill and nostalgia to the holiday event.
The ferris wheel provides a bird’s-eye view of Victoria’s beautifully lit cityscape. It will be open for rides nightly from December 20th to 31st, beginning at 4 p.m., weather permitting.

Victoria Royals vs. Prince George Cougars
The holiday break is officially over for the Victoria Royals as they prepare to host the Prince George Cougars in a back-to-back series at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre, starting Friday, December 27th. This BC Division showdown promises to be a thrilling battle, with the two teams currently sitting in first and second place, separated by just two points. The Cougars are coming in to Victoria with a two point lead.

LEGO Exhibit at the Sidney Museum
The Sidney Museum has officially welcomed back their famous LEGO exhibit for its 19th year, running until March 30th, 2025.
Not only will they return with their usual creative and innovative LEGO splendour, but they’ll be introducing a new feature this year too!
Get ready for the launch of the “Community Creations” display, which includes the LEGO creations of different community members. Admission to this marvelous exhibit is by donation!

16th Annual Habitat for Humanity Gingerbread Showcase
There’s still time to check out the Gingerbread Showcase. This year’s theme is “Through a Child’s Eyes,” which is bound to bring out the best in our local bakers and give everyone a peek into the minds of the artists.
Admission to the showcase is free, but visitors are encouraged to make a donation when voting for their favorite gingerbread house.
All proceeds will go towards Habitat for Humanity’s mission of providing affordable housing in the community.
