The Victoria Royals are closing out their longest road trip of the season with one last stop before heading back to home ice.
Tonight, the Royals face the Western Hockey League (WHL)-leading Everett Silvertips at Angel of the Winds Arena, with puck drop at 7:05 p.m. This game marks the first of four meetings between the teams this season.
Last season, the Royals fell short in all four matchups against Everett. Their last victory against the Silvertips came on March 24th, 2023, in a thrilling 6-4 win, where Victoria surged to a three-goal lead in the first period and held on to secure the victory.
The Royals have been on the road since November 9th, playing a gruelling eight-game stretch. They’ve earned a 3-3-1 record during this trip, with victories over the Seattle Thunderbirds, Kamloops Blazers, and Lethbridge Hurricanes.
Heading into tonight’s game, the Royals sit fifth in the WHL Western Conference and second in the BC Division.
They trail the division-leading Prince George Cougars by just three points.
Royals return home this weekend
After tonight’s clash, the Royals will return to the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre for back-to-back games against the Seattle Thunderbirds on Friday, November 29th, and Saturday, November 30th—grab tickets!
