LEGO lovers, unite!
The Sidney Museum will welcome their famous LEGO exhibit back for its 19th year starting next month, running from December 20th to March 30th, 2025.
Not only will they return with their usual creative and innovative LEGO splendour, but they’ll be introducing a new feature this year too!
Get ready for the launch of the “Community Creations” display, which calls on community members to submit their own unique LEGO creations to be showcased in this year’s exhibit.
For the first time, the museum is opening up the exhibit to local builders of all-ages and skill levels.
A total of 48 submissions will be selected, with each one displayed at the museum for one month during the exhibit.
Submissions are open now, and if chosen, your LEGO masterpiece will be featured in the spotlight during January, February, or March of 2025.
To participate, your build must be no larger than 10” wide by 10” long by 10” high, made entirely of LEGO bricks, and must be an original design.
“We’re excited to include the community in this annual tradition,” says Michael Goodchild, Executive Director of the Sidney Museum.
“Whether you’ve been building with LEGO for years or just started, this is a chance for everyone to share their creativity and be part of something special.”
The annual LEGO Brick Exhibit is one of the museum’s most popular events, drawing visitors from near and far. This year’s addition of community-created pieces promises to make the exhibit even more dynamic and engaging!
If you have a creative build you’d like to share, head to the Sidney Museum’s website for complete submission details and rules.
Spots are limited, so don’t wait too long to submit your masterpiece!
Admission to this marvelous exhibit is by donation!
