Jonah Yano at Capital Ballroom
Don’t miss out on Canadian alternative/indie artist, Jonah Yano, at Capital Ballroom!
As described, Yano’s journey as a musician began in 2016, recording music on his cellphone. Once he moved from Vancouver to Toronto, he began putting his songs online, which caught the eyes of the thriving local music scene there.
Since then, he’s collaborated with artists such as MONEYPHONE and BADBADNOTGOOD, and has released a variety of his own music, earning him widespread recognition.
The next couple years were spent songwriting and practicing vocals and getting his name out there—landing some incredible collaborations.

The Jim Cuddy Band at McPherson Playhouse
Join Jim Cuddy as he performs from his new album, All The World Fades Away. He’ll be on stage at the iconic McPherson Playhouse, joined by special guest Devin Cuddy.
As described, this new album is a reflective exploration of his life and music, shaped by a rare period of time to reflect, create, and tinker. While the album surveys his past, it also embraces the present, expressing gratitude for where he is now, and is not a nostalgic wrap-up but rather a deeper look at the journey.
Recorded during the pandemic at his country home, the album was shaped by a prolonged three-year creative process, with contributions from Blue Rodeo bandmates and guests like Jenn Grant, who also created visuals for the album.
Ticket prices vary by seat selection, but they start at just below $70.

Flow: Indie Film at Roxy Victoria
Join the crew at Roxy Victoria for the premiere of Flow, a visually stunning animated adventure that was recently screened at both the Toronto and Vancouver International Film Festivals.
Directed by Gints Zilbalodis, Flow follows a courageous cat navigating a post-flood world with a diverse group of animal companions, offering a poignant meditation on friendship, community, and environmental fragility.
The screening will also feature the short film The Girl with the Red Beret, provided by the National Film Board of Canada.
General admission tickets are just over $12.

Daniel Lew at The.Victoria.House
Join The.Victoria.House for an intimate solo performance from Daniel Lew—performed in a close seating living room with Yamaha baby grand piano. There’s one set of stairs to enter space.
“Daniel Lew is a singer-songwriter with a mission to uplift the world,” says a media release.
“10 years ago, he spontaneously went deaf in his left ear and developed tinnitus. This led him down a path of song weaving with worldly intention.”
There will be two sets with an intermission in between, as well as complimentary tea and coffee. Attendees are welcome to bring their own drinks as well as a snack to share.
