Single-vehicle crash claims life of 19-year-old man in Ladysmith

Ladysmith RCMP are investigating a fatality that resulted from a single-vehicle collision early this week. 

At around 10:30 p.m. on October 21st, officers responded to the scene of the collision which occurred on the Trans-Canada Highway southbound, just south of Aqua Terra Road. 

According to police, despite paramedics’ attempts at life saving measures, the lone 19-year-old driver of a Nissan 350Z was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police closed the Trans-Canada Highway for several hours to allow for the initial investigation and evidence gathering at the scene to occur.

Ladysmith RCMP say the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
