A Canada-wide mothers’ advocacy group, Moms Together, has launched an artificial intelligence (AI) tool to help busy moms navigate the BC election and the different parties’ platforms.
The tool is called VoteGPT.
Moms Together say that VoteGPT is powered by a Large Language Model (LLM) that has been specifically trained on the official platforms of the BC political parties.
Through this tool, moms—or other residents of BC—can use this platform by typing in a question about an issue facing British Columbians and the AI will scour the three political parties’ platforms to easily present any relevant information.
The goal with this project is to help busy mothers avoid wading through hundreds of pages of text on the BC NDP, Conservative Party of BC and BC Green Party’s official platforms.

“We know moms are busy, but they also want to make informed decisions. That’s why we created VoteGPT—to quickly show moms which parties share their values and priorities,” said Marie Rioux, Co-Lead of Moms Together.
“Whether it’s healthcare, childcare, or education, VoteGPT makes it easy to get a clear picture of where each party stands.”
The final day to vote in BC’s 2024 provincial election is tomorrow, Saturday, October 19th.
