Happy turkey weekend, Victoria!

Whether you’re a turkey fan or not, we hope that you get to enjoy a holiday feast of some sort and/or spend much-needed time with loved ones.

In addition to the holiday and Halloween-related activities, you can catch a Victoria Royals hockey game, attend a wind instrument concert and more.

Plus, Backstreet Boys’ youngest member, Nick Carter, will be performing at McPherson Playhouse on Monday, October 14th!

Thanksgiving Dinner

In light of the impending turkey comas and pumpkin-pie overload, we wanted to provide some planning relief if you’re hoping to skip hosting this year!

Haunted Manor: Mini-Golf and Ping Pong Lounge

Located on Yates Street in downtown Victoria, the immersive experience offers incredible detail as you putt your way through a dilapidated manor with a ghoulish history.

As the twists and turns lure you through your 15-hole game, you’ll have the chance to snap the picture-perfect photo along the way.

General admission is $24.95 and $17.95 for kids ages 15 and under.

Horror Escape

Thrilling and challenging, these escape rooms are impressively decorated to immerse you in the terrifying story and difficult enough to keep you coming back!

Plus, their room themes will often rotate, so if you’ve already solved them all, newly introduced themes are just around the corner.

Ghostly Walks: Halloween Tours

Celebrate the season of horror by taking a tour of the local haunted hotspots!

Discover the Past has a variety of different tour options available under ‘Ghostly Walks’ depending on the time of year.

The Halloween special is only available until November 2nd, so don’t miss out on a chilling evening stroll with petrifying with ghost stories and Victoria’s dark history.

Ticket prices vary, but general admission is $21 for adults and $16 for students.

Victoria Royals vs. Wenatchee Wild

Bring your family and friends, grab yourself a beverage or two and a bite to eat and get ready to cheer on your local WHL hockey team, the Victoria Royals, as they play the Wenatchee Wild!

This will be game two against Wenatchee, with their first of the back-to-back games happening on Friday, October 11th at 7:05 p.m.

Ticket prices vary by seat selection and they can be purchased online.

Multicultural Wind Ensemble Concert

This special concert at the Christ Church Cathedral will feature a blend of instruments and musical traditions from Iran, Japan, China, and beyond!

Celebrate the profound beauty of wind instruments from different cultural heritages, and experience the rich rhythms and evocative melodies.

General admission tickets are $28 and $12 for students, and they can be purchased via Eventbrite.

Apple Harvest Fest and Vintage Emporium

Ross Bay Villa Historic House Museum is hosting their popular annual Apple Harvest Fest and Vintage Emporium this Saturday!

Guests will find home-baked apple pies, preserves, chutneys and cordials. There will also be a variety of vendors with vintage and antique goods.

Admission is free, just make sure you dress for the weather, as it’s an outdoor event!

Witches in the Bay 2nd Annual Paddle

If you’re up for a little road trip this weekend, Witches in the Bay will be hosting its second annual ocean paddle this Saturday, October 12th.

Whether it’s a paddleboard, kayak or some other floatation device, everyone is welcome!

Wear your best witch/warlock costume and pack what you need to feel comfortable, including weather-appropriate attire, propane fire pits, and favourite drinks and snacks.

Retromania: The Thing

Don’t miss Vic Theatre’s Fright Fest Retromania special showing of The Thing!

This classic story follows a twelve-man research team who discover an alien that’s been buried in the snow for over 100,000 years. Once unfrozen, the alien hides in plain sight by taking the shape of its victims.

Nick Carter is coming to the McPherson Playhouse on Monday, October 14th!
