Oh, the joys of the autumn season!
There’s a growing chill in the air, and with it, the intensifying need to snuggle up indoors, watch Tim Burton movies and decorate for Halloween grows.
Luckily, Victoria is a wonderful place to satisfy all of your fall coziness and decorating needs, including activities to get you into the Halloween spirit and to select your perfect pumpkin.
Whether you’re going with the whole family or creating the perfect date, here’s 5 pumpkin patches and/or corn mazes to check out:
Silverrill Corn Maze
For the first time in its near-century history, Silver Rill Corn, a beloved family farm on the Saanich Peninsula, is welcoming visitors to wander through its brand-new corn maze!
Known for their delicious corn, the Fox family has taken a big step into the world of agritourism, offering a fun, family-friendly maze experience for the young and young-at-heart.
Designed with younger kids in mind, the paths are easy to navigate, and even seniors and parents are loving it.
The corn maze is located at 7117 Central Saanich Road in Saanichton and is open from Thursday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Lohbrunner Community
Lohbrunner Community Farm’s community favourite Pumpkin Fest is back!
Guests will be able to check out the farm every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout October, starting on the 5th and ending on the 20th.
They’ll have a huge selection of pumpkins, a mini market with fresh produce, arts and crafts, hot drinks by donation and u-pick flowers.

Mitchell’s Farm
Michell’s Farm is a sixth generation family owned and operated farm that has been growing on the Saanich Peninsula for over 150 years!
Starting October 5th, they’ll be open every day throughout the month of October from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., so you’ll have plenty of time to visit with loved ones.
Wander through their spacious and booming pumpkin patch and take home as many as you can carry.

Galey Farms
Pumpkinfest is coming back to Galey Farms! Throughout October, attendees can enjoy the corn maze, farm train haunted house and hayride to the pumpkin patch.
Beginning Saturday, October 5th, pumpkin patch lovers will be invited to frolic until October 31st, so there’s plenty of time to visit!
Pick out your perfect pumpkin and get carving!
Pumpkinfest tickets are just over $24 for an adult and just under $19 for children ages two to 12-years-old.

Ocean View Estates
Although Ocean View Estates won’t be offering a corn maze this year, visitors will still be able to return to their iconic pumpkin patch.
Guests are invited to try out a variety of props for pictures and, back by popular demand, the Alice in Wonderland Themed Pumpkin House.
The patch will open on October 5th, operating from Friday-Sunday and holidays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., until November 1st.
There will also be an Indian food truck on hand for anyone looking for a delicious pick-me-up!
