Clear your schedules, a classic blues and roots music festival is returning to Victoria this weekend!
Victoria Jazz Society is thrilled to welcome audiences back to attend their 30th annual BC Smoke Shop Harbour Blues ‘n Roots Festival.
It kicks off on Friday, August 23rd and runs until Sunday, August 25th, and offers an extensive lineup of talented artists, both local and visiting.
Some highlighted artists include band The Dip—a Seattle-based rhythm and blues band known for their songwriting, detailed arrangements, and vintage sound.
They’ll be playing at Ship Point on Friday, August 23rd at 7 p.m. with award-winning opener, Krystle Dos Santos. You can purchase tickets for $42.50 online.

Saturday will bring Rick Estrin & The Nightcats to the Ship Point stage at 7 p.m., and Steve Marriner & Local Electric will be opening for them.
Rick Estrin & The Nightcats have toured the world, bringing their dynamic groove-heavy and hard-hitting lyricism and tune with them! You can purchase tickets for $42.50, here.
If you’re looking for something a little more accessible (or you’re just hoping to catch some extra fantastic music), there are several free shows happening at the same location!
Local band, The Smokestacks, will perform on Saturday, August 24th at 12 p.m., where the audience will be treated to their style ranging from smooth grooves to hard, gritty blues.
Other free shows include Jaya Bremer, Bill Johnson Band, Cousin Harley, Canadian Beauty, KSAR and more!
