Playoff-bound Victoria HarbourCats will have fireworks at Monday’s game

The Victoria HarbourCats are heading to the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season as they approach their final games of the regular season this week.

Despite a 3-2 loss in Bellingham on Sunday, the HarbourCats have secured a playoff spot for the fourth year in a row and six of the past seven seasons.

This was made possible after results around the league clarified some of the North Division playoff standings, although final placements are still pending.

Due to the City of Victoria’s commitment to a CFL game later this month and the time required for preparations, the HarbourCats will play all postseason games away from Wilson’s Group Stadium at Royal Athletic Park.

It’s expected that the team’s first “home” playoff game will be held at historic Serauxmen Stadium in Nanaimo.

The team will provide more details once playoff pairings and dates are confirmed, to secure playoff tickets call 778-265-0327.

Monday’s game will feature the annual BC Day fireworks, sponsored by Joan Wallace Driving School, while Tuesday’s game will showcase the popular Jersey Off Our Backs game-worn giveaway, sponsored by Odlum Brown.

Wednesday’s game, the final one at Wilson’s Group Stadium for the season due to football commitments, will be Fan Appreciation Night, presented by Passion Sports, with exciting giveaways for fans.

Tickets for the last three games are available at the gate, online at the team’s official website—or general admission vouchers can be purchased at all Save On Foods on the south island.
